- I have discovered the caramel latte. I always assumed I was a mocha latte kind of gal, and while I enjoy the mocha latte, it is nothing compared to my newfound love for the caramel latte. Trouble. Because I've had like three in the last week.
- Friday we met up with friends Megan and Jarod for some eats at the Whistlestop. It was tasty and well-priced, not to mention good times.
- Saturday morning we took part in the opening day of pheasant season. After a little over two hours of traipsing around (part of the time through the thickest grass ever seen anywhere), three pheasants were ready to become meals – one of those was ours, though none of them were actually mine. That sounds confusing: I didn't get one, Brian did, Dave got two. There. Every time I get to see one up close, I am again amazed by their beauty. They are such pretty birds. I'm looking forward to a delicious meal of roast pheasant, onion, sweet potatoes and carrots tomorrow, I believe.
- Went to the out of town game to see our football team lose and not secure the conference championship. Hopefully, we will at least share the championship again this year. It was quite the frustrating second half (and final three minutes) to watch. Oh well.
- [Finally] Saw the fifth Harry Potter movie. Bless the cheap theater and their $2.50 tickets. It was good. But I still miss the kindly, grandfathery original Dumbledore.
- We spent all Sunday afternoon working outside in the yard cutting down small volunteer trees and treating the stumps so they wouldn't grow back. There were a lot of them. The yard is looking much better now. I really enjoy working on the yard together.
- Tried out the new burger joint in town with ma and pa. It was good and has excellent prices. I can pretty well guarantee we'll be returning there.
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11

What is the new burger joint?
ReplyDeleteThat would just be terrible. Who would want to go to Europe? Not me that's for sure.
