dear blog (and blog readers),

here is a list of good things from recent days:
- reading a lot of pages of this month's book club book.
- finally picking up the stuff? junk? mom and dad collected for me to take from their house (not the end of it, lest you be fooled) and sorting through it right away instead of just dumping it upstairs like i usually would. also, for condensing what was a large duffel bag, a large box, a shoe box, and a large shopping bag full of stuff into a shoe box, a jewelry box thing, and a very small stack. the rest went into the trash or in et cetera boxes. because i picked up this stuff and sorted through it, i actually held in my hands that note from a boy i said i'd saved; it does indeed still exist.
- moving our new deep freeze out of the living room and into the basement (without really injuring my back or dropping the entire thing and myself on brian while going down the stairs) and filling it with the pork from butchering a few weeks ago and chickens brian's parents have been storing for us.
- ordering our dining room set. i think it's going to be beautiful, and i cannot wait. thanks, mom and dad (and others)!
- spending almost six hours baking cinnamon rolls.
- waking up saturday not feeling as sick and weaning myself off the tussin.
- meeting brian's grandparents for pizza hut buffet for lunch today.

  1. I can't wait to see the dining room set. Do you have a link for me?

  2. I consider myself a pretty savvy googler, but I cannot find one for you. I need to go to the house later today; I'll look for the brochure and see if the company has a website.

  3. You should probably just post pictures of your house sometime. I haven't seen it since that time Mark and I broke in on your wedding day.

  4. I'm sure it's as much a disaster now as it was that day! And the walls look exactly the same now as they did then. Except for one picture was taken down so we could put our bookcase there. Yes, one of two total pictures was removed from the wall (this is when my college friends can chime in about how I went with totally bare white, cinder block walls in my dorm room the entire fall semester of my junior year). I need a decorator! Also, one other sweet feature of our house is that when we got a new love seat, we just pushed the old one back and put the new one right in front of it. Classy. We don’t have a good place for the old one but don’t want to get rid of it.

  5. hahaha, that's awesome, it reminds me of this picture on Craigs list of Colby's couch (one for sale, not his actual couch) where their new couch is right behind the one they are selling.
