Friday and Saturday I had to myself, so Friday I was really lazy and watched a lot of Gilmore Girls and ate lemon creme cake. Oh, also exciting from the end of last week was the great concert on campus from this group.
Saturday, I got in a workout and headed to Wichita. I tried to go shopping but found myself in a style crisis — I found basically nothing I liked and only bought jeans. Help! Then I went to an awesome birthday party with adorable argyle cupcakes. They rocked.
For some reason on Sunday, I woke up and thought, "Yikes! This is the weekend we were supposed to spring forward!" I looked at my clock expecting to find it too late to make it to church, but it was not. Why did I wake up so early on both Saturday and Sunday? Get a life and sleep in, you! Anyway, Mark was in town (yay!), so we all went out for Italian for lunch and then kicked it at mom & dad's for the afternoon. Also yesterday, we fed the saddest kitten ever. It's a stray that had something terrible happen to it — part of its foot is just hanging by a flap of skin and it can't put any weight on that leg! We're hoping to work on getting close enough to it to take it in to the humane society. Some much-needed leaf raking (haha...it's March) and floor mopping also got done.
The weather has been beautiful, and it's supposed to get to 70 tomorrow. Tonight I'm hoping to cook something that tastes amazing and bake cookies. And work out, but that's not nearly as much fun.
!! YES!
ReplyDeleteand I totally aww-ed all over the place for the kitten :(
I also went shopping this weekend, but I had better luck I guess. I got a cute new dress, a pair of pants, a skirt, a coat and a new bra. I think I spent a grand total of $40. I kind of rule at shopping.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised any of the dough made it to the cooked stage. I almost didn't get any of them into a box they were getting gobbled up so quickly. So quickly in fact, that Casey ate a half cookie. I had already eaten the other half and he thought it would be kosher to steal the rest while I wasn't looking. Jerkface.
