No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11

finally. after years of failure.
We finally got to drink green beer on St. Patrick's Day! All of our other attempts have gone like this: Enter an establishment where people are drinking green beer. Try to order green beer. Hear the heartbreaking words, "We're out." Sadness. Disappointment. Sorrow. So who knew we would find it right in our own backyard? Our neighborhood grill, if you will. Eatin' good in the neighborhood, you know? Applebee's! We went with JMJ and Karen; I have not laughed that hard/much in a while. Hilarious. Doubting that any green beer would be found in town (and not in a bar...which leaves about one option), I had called Applebee's earlier in the evening to see if they were serving. Imagine my joy when they said, "yes." Because of Monday night forensics class, I asked how long they would be serving/were open. The answer? "Until 11...or we run out of food coloring." At least they're transparent about how it's made.

I had my first green beer, just after my 21st birthday at Applebees. It must take all the green beer virginities.
