- Sewer problems. The floor drain in the basement wasn't so much draining as it was allowing nasty stuff to come up onto our floor. Luckily the basement is unfinished and we don't store anything near the drain, so nothing was ruined, but it sure was gross. Brian was wonderful and took care of getting the people out, helping them when they were there, and even doing all of the clean-up. How generous. The cause of the problem was a big old ball of roots in the pipes.
- Monday night we were going to cook supper, and I realized if we did that, we'd really have no place in the refrigerator to put leftovers and really no place on the counter for more dirty dishes. Sobering. So we did an entire refrigerator clean-out, including washing all of the shelves, and then did the dishes. The difference in the refrigerator is amazing, and it's still kind of satisfying to look in there and see so much empty space and cleanness.
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11

confusing you is how I keep our relationship "fresh" and "new"
ReplyDeleteI learned it from Dr. Phil
I think there is nothing more satisfying than giving my kitchen a good coating of bleach to kill off all the germs.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit of a germophobe.
