No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11

Oh, the movie was painful.
Just so you don't waste your time.
As far as I can tell, they should have just had Meryl Streep play Julia Child in a film version of My Life in France.
I liked the Julia Child parts and thought Meryl Streep was great, but I didn't feel like the Julie parts reflected what the book was like hardly at all, and the Julie/Eric dialogue/interactions were not well written or directed or something.
I didn't despise the movie, but it wasn't as great as the book.

ReplyDeleteI kind of loved Jane Lynch, though.
ME TOO! I really actually loved all the Julia parts.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's why I wish they would have just made My Life in France with Meryl Streep, but now she probably can't reprise that role, haha.
ReplyDeleteI liked the movie, but then again I didn't read the book. I will say the end of the movie left more to be desired.
