Last Saturday I spent a majority of my waking hours at the grocery store. I went out with one item on my list. My regular grocery store didn't have it, so I moved on to the next one. Oh, glorious King Soopers (even though you usually have a funky smell). King Soopers was having their holiday open house where they had all kinds of samples out to promote what they can bring you for your holiday meals/parties. It was awesome. B had decided to stay home, which means I wasn't sure if he would want to come out to go through the grocery store buffet, which means I sampled everything and then went home and proposed that I could take him on a date to the grocery store. He wanted to go that time around. I did not sample everything a second time, but some new items (sushi!) had arrived, so I did have to check that out. Needless to say, we did not have to go home and have lunch afterward. I have to also give a shoutout to King Soopers for always, always having an amazing selection of sample cheeses. I have joked that if people visit us, we should take them on a cheese sampling tour there. My favorite is Drunken Goat.
An addition to this riveting grocery store tale I remembered is that it was hilarious to watch people's reactions to seeing us carrying 16 boxes of cereal (they had an excellent sale on cereal). Reactions ranged from sour to utter surprise. Entertaining.
you guys are by far the coolest people I know.
ReplyDeleteA humble person might say you need to get out more, but honestly, I kind of hope you don't. :) But, seriously, this comment really made me smile.
